Pure Knead was created out of pure need. When founder, Michelle Kelly had to find bread for her food-sensitive children, she discovered that the options were limited. Determined to bring convenience, great taste, and safety back to the dining experience for people with allergies, Michelle created Pure Knead in 2010. Michelle oversees company operations and serves as CEO and Chairman of the Board.
Deborah Shaw’s association with Pure Knead started when she was managing Frannie’s Gluten Free muffins with her daughter and the products were baked in the same facility. Deborah’s passion for gluten free, allergy safe foods also arose from her desire to feed her family who have food allergies. This devotion has driven her to ensure that Pure Knead products are available to restaurant chefs, so that everyone can be included when dining out with friends and family. Deborah is the President of the Company and manages all marketing and sales efforts.
All Pure Knead products are manufactured in a dedicated facility certified by the Gluten Free Certification Organization, and made with all natural ingredients. All products are gluten free, vegan and contain no dairy, soy, peanuts, treenuts, fish/shellfish, sesame or eggs.
Pure Knead breads are moist, delicious and evoke memories of the products you used to enjoy. Shipped frozen, Pure Knead products don’t require toasting and are never crumbly or dry.

“Having been fortunate enough to try their gluten-free buns, all this Examiner can say is Wow! The buns are light and fluffy with out that weird spongy texture some gluten-free buns have. There is no strange aftertaste and the bun does not crumble while you are eating the burger. The buns taste fresh and are crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle, which creates the perfect texture!”
